DodgeIt
A downloadable game for Windows
DodgeIt is the first project I'm making using Unity, which I've only taken up since the start of "Brackeys Game Jam 2025.2". It was, and still is, a challenge for me to see how far I can go with barely any knowledge of C# and Unity, and what I could learn online to help me.
Only the keyboard is needed, use WASD or ZQSD (should work either way) to move the character, and arrow keys the change it's direction. Your goal is to avoid waves of spikes and arrows. Spikes deal damage (not implemented yet) to the player, and arrows do too unless you're looking in the same direction it's pointing to, and when that happens, arrows turn white, meaning it's harmless now.
I really wanted to implement the risk factor, asked by the game jam's theme : "Risk it for the Biscuit", however, I hadn't got enough time to implement the idea. The goal would have been to make it so, after an amount of time, the "level" is complete, and before the next level, the player could choose between a normal, and hard mode, with the hard mode yielding more points, and other long term advantages.
This game is still a prototype for now, and I want to keep working on it and finish it. There are a lot of ideas I want to implement, and lots of things to learn from this as well. I'm excited to see what I'll be able to do once I really get comfortable with the engine.

Install instructions
Download the zip file and extract it. Then go inside the new DodgeIt folder, find the "DodgeIt.exe" executable file, and you should be good to go !
Just remember to press ALT+F4 to quit the game
